Join Mossy and Rufus for a counting song about six, seven and eight: one whole hand, and more on the other. Follow the numbers together without rushing your child’s answer.

Watch and count together
Watch with a parent or carer. Pause when a character asks a question, leave time for an answer and count aloud together. There is no need to finish the whole video in one sitting.
What comes after five? Can you add one object at a time to reach eight?
Try it away from the screen
Line up eight blocks or spoons. Move each object as you say its number. Make a group of five and a group of three, then bring them together and count all eight.
Follow your child’s pace. Repeat a smaller group if they want another try.
Keep exploring numbers
Use the smaller groups in Bimble’s picnic to practise counting each object once. Open the free games.
