Watch and count together
Watch with a parent or carer. Pause when a character asks a question, leave time for an answer and count aloud together. There is no need to finish the whole video in one sitting.
How many fingers are on one hand? Can you match each finger to one toy?
Try it away from the screen
Put five toys in a box, one at a time. Say one number for each toy. Take one toy out and ask what changed, then put it back and count the whole group again.
Follow your child’s pace. Repeat a smaller group if they want another try.
Keep exploring numbers
