Wonder Hollow makes gentle learning videos for children aged 3 to 5. This page describes, in plain language, what this website and the tools behind it do with information. It is short because we collect very little.
Our free games need no account or sign-up. Game answers stay in your browser. Some pages use Google Analytics for website statistics. Video pages also connect to YouTube through an embedded player, as explained below. We never ask a child to send us information.
What this website does
- The "grown-up check" sum is answered entirely inside your browser. The answer is never sent to us or to anyone else.
- Page images and fonts are served by this site. Pages with our existing analytics tag load Google Analytics. Dedicated video pages also load a YouTube embedded player.
- The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors. See Firebase's privacy documentation.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit
Wonder Hollow and which pages they find useful. It loads a small script from
googletagmanager.com and sets two cookies (_ga and
_ga_<id>) that last up to two years and are used only to tell a
repeat visit from a new one.
What it records: the pages viewed, an approximate location (country and region, worked out from your IP address, which Google does not store or share back to us), your device type and browser, and how you arrived at the site. What it does not do: it runs no advertising or remarketing, it does not follow you to other websites, and it never receives a name, an email address or anything a visitor types.
If you would rather not be counted, you can turn on your browser's "Do Not Track" or cookie-blocking setting, use private/incognito browsing, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works exactly the same either way.
Children
Wonder Hollow is made for young children, so we deliberately built it to need nothing from them. There is no sign-up, no profile, no message box and no way for a child to send us anything. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because the site provides no means of giving it to us. The analytics described above are configured for aggregate visitor counts only, with advertising features and cross-site signals switched off.
Our videos on YouTube are published as Made for Kids, which disables personalised advertising, comments and several data-collection features on those videos. YouTube's own handling of viewing data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by us.
Embedded YouTube videos
Our counting video pages use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player on youtube-nocookie.com. Loading the player sends a request to YouTube, including network and device information. Playing a video uses YouTube’s service; privacy-enhanced mode does not make viewing anonymous or remove all data collection. The player does not autoplay. You can choose to watch the same episode on YouTube instead.
YouTube’s handling of viewing information is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Our video production tools
Wonder Hollow episodes are produced by our own software, which signs in to our
own YouTube channel to upload them. That sign-in uses Google OAuth and is limited to
a single permission: uploading videos to the Wonder Hollow channel
(youtube.upload).
- It is used only by the channel owner, on the channel owner's own account.
- It uploads finished episodes. It does not read viewer data, comments, subscriber lists or analytics.
- Access tokens are stored locally on the owner's machine and are not shared with anyone or sent to any third party.

Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Wonder Hollow is early in its life, so expect this page to grow as the project does.
